A new leading-practice Early Childhood Education Center provides integrated health and human services to support the whole child and family. The center serves families of all income levels with children ages 0-5, with a particular focus on those residing in the surrounding neighborhood.
It is operated by Starfish Family Services, an early childhood provider with extensive experience working with Detroit children and families. The center’s curriculum and child-centered services are jointly developed by Starfish Family Services and U-M School of Education.
We adopt a play-based learning approach, emphasizing the importance of exploration, creativity, and social interaction in a child’s early years. Our curriculum is carefully designed to foster the holistic development of each child, helping them grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically.
